How Did You Get Started?: In December of 2012, in looking for unique gifts for our childrens’ teachers, we decided to make handmade skin care. Our very first products were conceived- lip balm, lotion bar, and sugar scrub. Much to our delight, the gifts were met with rave reviews and before long people were asking us, “How can I get more?” We soon fell in love with the creative and scientific aspects of soap making, and creating recipes from all natural ingredients. So we started a company. Pure was born- it was the perfect name to capture the essence of our products. We began to explore the therapeutic benefits of essential oils, and our aromatherapy line was created. Pure continues to grow and evolve as do we. Although some of our products have come and gone, our foundation is all natural, artisan soaps, and aromatherapy; along with a few fan favorites, such as lip balm, anywhere ointment, sunscreen, and bug blocker.
What Do You Love About What You Do?: Art becomes an extension of yourself that has no rules or boundaries. The experience of creating is so different from the typical working world that we live in. Creating art is a way to bring an intrinsic pleasure and joy to others that cannot be achieved through life’s tangibles.
