Taking exceptional photos is easier today than ever before. Cell phone cameras are more powerful than most of the best cameras used by professionals in late twentieth century. It’s an often overlooked tool that allows everyone to capture memories and moments for lasting memories. Edie is familiar with most cell phone cameras and can help you take your pictures to the next level no matter what your knowledge base.

This workshop will begin at State of the Art Pottery and Gallery with an hour of basic instruction.

Then the class will move outside for 1.5 hours, practicing the principles learned.

The final 1.5 hours will be spent back at State of the Art Pottery and Gallery as students are introduced to basic, free, editing apps to finish learning how to take their photographs to the next level.

 Snapseed App (This free editing app is available for android or apple devices. Please have it preloaded onto your phone before the class begins.

BIO:
Edie Melson is a woman of faith with ink-stained fingers exploring life through the lens of her camera. She often describes herself as creative out of self-defense. Not surprising since she’s the daughter of an artist-mother and musician-turned-photographer-father. Her award-winning images—just like the books she authors—challenge her audience to examine life from a different angle. As a popular speaker, she’s encouraged and equipped audiences across the country and around the world. She lives in the upstate of South Carolina and can either be found with her laptop or wandering the mountains with her husband, her dog, and her favorite camera.
